Two New RMS Leadership Positions Open for Volunteers

Job Title: Community Engagement & Partnerships Coordinator


Position Summary: The Community Engagement & Partnerships Coordinator is responsible for fostering relationships with external organizations and communities and the AIAA RMS.  This role will develop and maintain strategic partnerships with organizations such as the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), and the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), ASME, IEEE, INCOSE, SAMPE, CSBR, NDIA, AFCEA among others, to support outreach, recruitment, and retention initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

·                Build and maintain relationships with local, regional, and national organizations that serve communities in STEM and related fields.

·                Coordinate events, outreach activities, and collaborative programs that engage diverse populations and promote excellence.

·                Serve as a liaison between the AIAA RMS and community partners to support shared  goals.

·                Develop strategies for targeted outreach and recruitment efforts aimed at increasing membership.

·                Track, assess, and report on engagement activities.

·                Represent the organization at conferences, community events, and professional meetings.

 

 

Job Title: Regional Membership Growth & Outreach Coordinator


Position Summary:The Regional Membership Growth & Outreach Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to expand membership and engagement across underserved and geographically diverse areas, including Wyoming, Montana, Canada, and Nunavut. This role will build strong community relationships, identify opportunities for growth, and support the organization’s mission by increasing awareness and accessibility in these regions.


Key Responsibilities:

·                Develop and execute a regional outreach strategy to grow membership in target areas, including rural and remote communities.

·                Build partnerships with local institutions, community organizations, Indigenous communities, and professional networks to raise awareness and encourage participation.

·                Plan and attend regional events, information sessions, and recruitment initiatives (virtually and in person).

·                Act as the primary point of contact for prospective members in these regions, providing guidance and support through the membership process.

·                Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to develop tailored materials and messaging for diverse regional audiences.

·                Analyze membership trends and generate reports on outreach effectiveness and regional growth metrics.

·                Identify barriers to membership and propose solutions to improve access and inclusion.
