AIAA RM Speakers Program - Agile Space Industries - Dr. Prashanth Bangalore Venkatesh, Lead Propulsion Analyst

Agile Space Industries, a Durango, Colorado company focused on in-space chemical propulsion thrusters for Lunar landers and other spacecrafts. Dr. Prashanth Bangalore Venkatesh leads AGILE’s analysis work across propulsion, combustion, and fluid dynamics Dr. Bangalore has made major design contributions to AGILE’s high performance thrusters. His specific work has included design features on AGILE’s LE111™ throttled engine (achieving up to 327 s Isp), AGILE’s A45™ pulse-mode attitude control thruster with an extremely low dribble volume, and AGILE’s A110™ lunar lander attitude control thruster. Dr. Bangalore will discuss Agile’s propulsion capabilities and give a virtual tour of its facilities.

Prior to AGILE, Dr. Bangalore conducted fundamental research on high-pressure combustion and Deflagration-to-Detonation Transition (DDT) in ethylene-nitrous oxide mixtures at Purdue University with applications to safe propellant handling and establishing a detonation database for nitrous oxide.
