AIAA-RM at the 2024 Cool Science Festival: Inspiring the Next Generation

The AIAA Rocky Mountain Section proudly participated in the 2024 Cool Science Festival, engaging students in hands-on STEM activities by helping them build foam rockets. The event was a fun and educational opportunity for children to explore rocket design and physics, launching their creations with meter sticks at various "planets." A standout moment of the activity was when AIAA-RM's STEM Deputy Director, Karolyn Evans, joined in as a live "planet" for students to aim their rockets at.

The Cool Science Festival, a well-known celebration of STEM, attracted thousands of attendees, offering numerous interactive exhibits and activities. This year’s festival saw strong participation from the local community, providing a dynamic environment for both learning and play. The AIAA-RM's booth was a hit, showcasing the exciting world of aerospace engineering to eager young minds.

AIAA-RM's involvement underscores the importance of outreach in promoting STEM education and inspiring the next generation of engineers and scientists.
