We are excited to introduce the newly elected officers for the AIAA Rocky Mountain Section. These dedicated individuals bring a wealth of experience and passion to their roles, and we look forward to their contributions in the coming year.

Chair: Kristi Farley
Kristi Farley, Vice President at Lockheed Martin's National Security Space (NSS) division, leads the Globally Responsive Space mission segment. With a robust portfolio including GPSIII, GPSIIIF, and the SouthPan SBAS program, Kristi drives mission-critical initiatives for national security and infrastructure. Holding degrees in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Computer Science, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience. Kristi has been with AIAA since 2021 and previously served as Vice Chair. She aims to enhance local aerospace involvement and professional development opportunities.
Vice Chair: Chris Vigil
Chris Vigil, a Program Manager at Lockheed Martin, oversees affordability initiatives for the Orion spacecraft. With a background in Mechanical Engineering and Medical Engineering, Chris has held various roles in programmatic analysis, strategy, and design across the aerospace industry. He is committed to fostering growth and collaboration within the AIAA community. Chris aims to leverage his expertise to support the success of members and ensure future generations of aerospace professionals thrive.
Secretary: Dr. Ciprian Dumitrache
Ciprian Dumitrache, Assistant Professor at Colorado State University, specializes in aerospace propulsion and laser diagnostics for reacting flows. His research includes developing a hypersonic wind tunnel test facility for scramjet engines. Ciprian has a rich academic background, including a PhD from Colorado State University and a Fulbright scholarship. As the current AIAA-RMS Secretary, Ciprian aims to strengthen the local aerospace community and facilitate collaboration between industry and academia.
Membership Director: Dr. Lynnane George
Dr. Lynnane George, Associate Teaching Professor at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, has a distinguished career in academia and military service. With degrees from Georgia Tech and significant contributions to major aerospace projects, Lynnane is dedicated to STEM education and outreach. As the Membership Outreach Director, she aims to grow AIAA membership, expand student branches, and enhance diversity within the organization. Her leadership has already significantly increased participation in the UCCS AIAA student branch.
Communications Director: Amanda Camarata
Amanda, a Thermal Engineer at BAE Systems and a recent graduate of Colorado School of Mines, brings her passion for diversity and inclusion in aerospace to the role of Communications Director. With extensive experience in AIAA student leadership roles, Amanda aims to enhance community growth and connectivity through effective communication strategies. She is committed to promoting the diverse voices within the aerospace community and supporting AIAA’s mission on a larger scale.
We are confident that these leaders will bring fresh perspectives and drive meaningful initiatives to advance the AIAA Rocky Mountain Section. Please join us in welcoming and supporting them in their new roles!
